Privacy Policy — One Tap Golf

Effective date: 18 April 2026 Last updated: 18 April 2026

The short version

One Tap Golf does not collect any information about you.

There are no accounts. There is no sign-up. The app has no backend server. It does not use analytics, crash reporting, advertising SDKs, or any third-party tracking. It does not access your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or location. It works fully offline after download.

The longer version

What the app does store

Your best scores, your current round in progress, and your sound preference are stored on your iPhone using the standard iOS on-device storage mechanism (WKWebView localStorage). This information never leaves your device. Apple’s privacy framework categorises this access under NSPrivacyAccessedAPICategoryUserDefaults with reason code CA92.1 (“Access info from same app, per the app’s functionality”).

If you delete One Tap Golf from your iPhone, or tap Reset Progress inside the app’s Settings screen, this on-device information is erased.

What the app does not do

Children’s privacy

One Tap Golf is rated 4+ on the App Store and is suitable for players of all ages. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it is inherently compliant with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws worldwide governing children’s data. The app is not, however, enrolled in Apple’s “Made for Kids” programme.

Third-party software

The app bundles open-source libraries — notably React (Meta), Capacitor (Ionic), and a small number of Capacitor plugins for haptics and status bar control. These libraries execute entirely on your device and do not themselves collect or transmit data. They are bundled into the app binary and do not connect to external services.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version of One Tap Golf introduces optional features like leaderboards or cloud-saved progress — the change will be described here, and the Last updated date above will be revised. Material changes will also be highlighted in the App Store listing’s release notes for the version where they take effect.
